When I arrived at Charlie's front yard, I was surprised. There were green strawberry plants lined up like vines, each bearing tiny, cute fruits that looked like sparkling ruby jewels. 

A fluffy puppy greeted me, but I was drawn to the fresh scent and took a step closer to the strawberries. When I took a bite of the slightly unripe, green and pink fruit, the fresh, crisp scent of the leaves and the sweetness of the still sour but rich flesh filled the air.
