Fresh Green Tea Sejak
Sejak is a traditional Korean tea made from sprouts picked between Gokwoo, which signals the start of the farming season, and Ipha, which marks the beginning of summer. It is also called Jakseolcha because the tea leaves resemble a sparrow's tongue. Sejak has an excellent deep fragrance and a savory and bitter taste, and the tea water has a clear green color. According to Donguibogam, Sejak lowers energy, clears the mind, and promotes digestion and diuresis, helping treat diabetes.
Soft Jeju Okro Tea
Okro tea, which was first developed in Japan and has been produced in Korea for not long, is made from tea leaves that have been grown for 15 to 20 days under a shade cloth that blocks sunlight. This shade cultivation allows the tea leaves to absorb a lot of moisture, making the leaf tissue soft, reducing the catechin component that produces a bitter taste and increasing the amino acid content, resulting in a soft taste.
Also, as chlorophyll increases, the color of the leaves becomes darker and takes on the color of clear grass leaves. Okro tea is a high-quality tea that is only produced once a year.
