Together for LA: How We're Supporting the Community and Aiding Fire Victims, Inspired by Jamie Lee Curtis’s $1M Donation – How to Help Southern California Wildfire Victims

I heard that the famous actress Jamie Lee Curtis donated $1 million, and many large and small companies are stepping up to support the relief efforts. After looking into how we can contribute, we found that local organizations are in need of donations to assist those displaced by the Palisades, Eaton, and Hurst fires in Los Angeles County. KBX, as a platform dedicated to promoting Korean brands, also wants to help and contribute to this cause.

I also want to mention that friends of mine living in areas like Lakewood, Altadena, and Santa Monica have all had to evacuate. Thankfully, they are all safe.

We really hope the fires are put out soon. As an LA-based company, we’re deeply saddened by what’s happening and stand with the community during this challenging time. We’re also planning to collaborate with Korean brands to support the relief efforts as well.

Organizations like the American Red Cross and the Salvation Army are currently accepting monetary donations via checks or online contributions. While donations of supplies are welcome, cash is often more helpful. According to Angela Rodriguez, a representative from the Red Cross national hotline, monetary donations help avoid storage issues and allow for quicker responses to urgent needs.

As a platform that champions Korean brands, KBX is committed to doing its part and contributing to those in need during this critical time. I’m also planning to discuss this with the Korean brands we work with to encourage their participation as well.
